About
Hi there! I’m Leah and this is my very best friend, partner, and greatest inspiration, Daisy. I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPT). After eight years of college, I earned a BA in Criminal Justice, a JD, and the right to practice law. I then spent a few years travelling the country working as an Operating Engineer in the oilfields. No matter where I was or what I was doing, Daisy was right by my side, and everything came full circle when I realized that training dogs is what I’m meant to do. I started Legally Unleashed as a testament to my life’s journey.
But this company isn’t really about me, it’s about recognizing everything that makes your dog so amazing. It’s about discovering and unleashing all of the potential locked inside your pal. I believe that dogs are gifts that we have been entrusted with and to whom we owe a duty as an owner.
It is our responsibility to make the time we have with our dogs the most satisfying and fulfilling it can be. After all, if dogs lived as long as they were faithful, they would never die. My highest goal is to help you make your best friend better and give you the knowledge and ability to have the relationship you have always wanted.

Evaluations
I would love to schedule a date to meet you and your pup! During our evaluation, I will seek to understand your dog’s personality and the training goals that you desire. This will be a period of discovery and an opportunity for me to gain insight about what daily life at home with your dog looks like as well as specific behavioral issues your dog may be exhibiting.
This is such an important first date and it is crucial to maintain an open dialogue and communicate with transparency so that we can achieve your goals together. I will explain my training methods and you will have the opportunity to ask questions. I will interact with your dog and help you decide which program is the best fit. Daisy and I will also give you a demonstration of what you can hope to achieve during training.
Evaluations are $50 for one hour, and if you decide to sign up for training, this cost will be deducted from your training program.

Puppy Pre-School
Get your puppy started out on the right paw with our 2 hour Puppy Pre-School Class! Have all of your burning questions answered about potty training, crate training, puppy manners, socialization, and how to set your puppy up for success before obedience training. Start building confidence in your puppy as you work together to conquer the obstacle course and learn the first steps in teaching reliable recall! This class is suitable for puppies ages 9-18 weeks.

Private Lessons
Do you enjoy learning and teaching your dog simultaneously? This training approach allows for one-on-one instruction where you will be handling your dog. This option is well-suited for the owner who has the time, patience, ability, and desire to train with your dog every step of the way. During our one hour sessions, we will teach you how to effectively communicate and lay an obedience foundation.

We are committed to helping you achieve your training goals, and we value the same commitment you have to cultivating your relationship with your best pal.
That’s why we offer incentives for dogs who have completed a training program at Legally Unleashed. Returning client-dog teams will gain access to additional training resources such as Refresher Training Days, Reduced Private Lessons, and Group Lessons with fellow LUK9 pack members.

Leah really helped me have a better understanding of how to communicate effectively with my two dogs. She was patient with me and my pups during training. She was very flexible with dates and times for training, especially since we had an emergency surgery and a COVID scare during the training dates.
